Simin Tander is the newest discovery of the renowned ECM label. Born in Germany from Afghan descent this charismatic singer enchants the audience and critics with her unique compositions and tasteful improvisations. The American Journal All about jazz wrote about her: Simin Tander is a polyglot who combines the fierce creativity of Meredith Monk with the jazz savvy of Gretchen Parlato. Her collaboration with the duet NEOFOBIC – Dimitar Bodurov and Jens Düppe, began in 2016. And especially for the concert in Varna 2018, they have invited the visual artist Walter Padao.
The film was shot during a concert at RADAR Festival Beyond Music 2018.
