Vadim Neselovsky – piano

Pianist, composer, improviser, soloist or bandleader, Vadim Neselovsky, originally from Ukraine, creates music that is truly inspired and completely unique. The Los Angeles Times has praised Neselovskyi’s “extraordinary playing” while The Guardian (UK) has called him “the most promising of the young improvisers.” All About Jazz recognized his singular versatility, referring to him as “a strong pianist [as well as] a composer who blends form and freedom in new ways.” He studied jazz piano at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he is currently a professor. Based in New York, Vadim has worked with legendary musicians such as Gary Burton, Pat Matheny, Shaka Kahn, Dee Dee Bridgewater and many others. In his latest solo piano album, Odessa: A Musical Walk Through a Legendary City, he reminds listeners of the beauty and rich cultural heritage of his homeland. Neselovsky participates in and organizes a number of charity concerts in Ukraine.

His work has been played by jazz greats like Randy Brecker, Antonio Sanchez, Julian Lage, and Gary Burton, as well as classical artists (Daniel Gauthier, whose recording of Neselovskyi’s “San Felio” won an ECHO Classical Award) and symphony orchestras in the United States (Spokane Symphony, Lancaster Symphony) and Europe (New Philharmonic Westfalen, INSO Lviv Symphony).
