DAYIN is a solo project, ran semi-anonymously by Angel Simitchiev, an electro-acoustic music artist and Sound Art lecturer at Bulgaria’s National Academy of Arts, mostly known for his work under the nickname Mytrip. It’s a melancholic take on contemporary ambient music with a flavour of shoegaze, noise and textural drone. So far, Dayin live performances have been a rare treat. The project has been presented on carefully selected live shows in Bulgaria, Germany and Poland.

The complete performance of Lights Polluting the City will receive its premiere at RADAR 2018, which will make up the upcoming Dayin full-length to be released this autumn. Lights Polluting the City is dedicated to the destruction of the beautiful urban nightscapes by aggressive night lights. In the safe realm of colourful and intrusive flashy ads and neon signs, Dayin seeks the comfort of darkness and the desire to experience nights with no lights. The performance is suitable for a lover of urban melancholy and heavy sounds.
