Stoimen Stoyanov – Nocktern is a Bulgarian composer and pianist, famous for his experiments in the field of neo-classics, trip-hop, jazz and electronics. The music he makes under the pseudonym Nocktern is greatly influenced by contemporary artists of the acoustic-electronic scene like Nils Frahm, Max Richter and others.

After a number of concerts with such names as Koyo Dot, 2hennings, Eyot, Mytrip, Ivan Shopov, Theodosii Spassov, The Bedlam Club, Saturated Pixels, Krallaar, he decided to concentrate on the piano. In 2017, he became part of the World Day of the Piano, curated by Erased tapes records and initiated by Nils Frahm. This is how the compositions of the album Pieces of Lyla were born – a portrait-triptych of a girl who passes through states of anxiety, melancholy and harmony.
