Dimitar Bodurov is a jazz pianist and composer, born in Varna. Since 2000 he has been residing in The Netherlands, where he graduated from the Codarts Academy, Rotterdam with a Master’s degree in Jazz piano and a Bachelor’s in Jazz Piano and Composition.

Bodurov has a solid background in both jazz improvisation and classical composition, which combined with his love for folklore and electronica shaped his authentic, distinctive music signature. As a pianist, he became a laureate in several competitions in the Netherlands, Switzerland and France. Dimitar Bodurov has released a number of CD albums for Dutch and Norwegian labels, as well for his own label – Optomusic. As a composer, Bodurov is an author of mostly chamber works including commissions for the Gergiev Festival, Rotterdam, the dance group LeineRoebana, Amsterdam and the Operadagen Festival, Rotterdam.

Dimitar supports brave ideas in art and believe in collaboration between musicians, innovators and various artists. He endorses RADAR’s sustainability by helping carefully select a program of concerts, educational workshops and lectures for children, professional and non-professional musician and artists.
