Jazz trumpet player

He starts to play piano at the age of 7, and trumpet at the age of 10. After graduating from Sofia School of Music, studies at the Bulgarian Music Academy, Rotterdam Conservatory and Berklee College of Music. Plays the “emerging artists stage” at Woodstock ’99. While being a member of Bob Moses' band, records in his albums “Nishoma” and “Universal Folk Song”. Winner of the 2018 “Crystal Lyre” for jazz artist of the yearin Bulgaria, Zahariev is on the forefront of contemporary Bulgarian Music, sought for his strong presence and ability to contribute to any musical situation, regardless of style or genre. Alongside composing original material, he is also leading several experimental formations working in the field of “instant composition”.
